The large fishing vessel has been tied up to the docks after a hard day's work out in the river.  Old hemp ropes pile in an unruly heap in her stern with the many little hooks gleaming in the sun.  Hiccups of steam pop out of the stovepipe sticking out of the forecastle.  A fire that was on, must have just been put out before the crew went ashore.
