For a helmet that used to cover a frost giant head, it's actually kinda fancy.  Conical shaped, it has a large sophisticated T bar over the face opening to protect the nose bridge and eyes, as well as smart leather straps to hold the helmet onto the head.  A broken red feather plume is still stuck into a metal strap that goes around the top of the headpart, the feathery top may be gone, but it most likely was quite distinguishing in its time.
