This metal fan, when unfolded into a semi-circle, displays its beautiful artwork of flowering plum trees.  Welcomed for cooling the body on a hot day, its secondary use is easy to overlook.  The iron spokes of the fan are sturdy enough to puncture the skin as well as to block weapons.  When closed, the fan can easily be concealed up the sleeve of a robe.
