The book seems to be an index for other books.  It's hard to understand what it is referring to but there seems to be the name of a spell type of spell then another name.  The whole book would appear to be filled with this.

look big

The blue book is about two feet long and a foot wide, however, it isn't very thick.  The pages are edged with a silver trim.  The book itself, although in good shape, has clearly been used for many years and the binding is worn and slightly cracked.
