Written largely in academic style, the book outlines the early days of Keorc Koilos as a mining community of the dwarves who eventually came into conflict with the Drow.  Other UnderDark races chose up sides and a nasty 25-year fight ensued.  Hard feelings remain among some of the races, but the call of coin has prompted most to allow an uneasy truce to thrive into a commercial success.  Still, tis said, a drow in the dwarven quarter may not come out alive.

Bodies disappear, adventurers do not return.  Rumors of great treasure.  A crystal garden where, tis said, the confusion of bright light and sharp angles can lead one to despair...  Or wealth.  And of course the great stairs up toward the surface and down to Xak'Vandiri hold their own mysteries.  Some in Keorc Koilos will speak more on such things.  Or perhaps not.

look guildmasters

 As Keorc Koilos has prospered it has drawn those willing to undertake certain commercial enterprises.  Guildmasters have arrived, those individuals able to train adventurers in certain skills and spells.  The great tower Sta'chaern holds a drow cult that will undertake such activities...  For a price.  Elsewhere in Sta'chaern tis said guildmasters have arrived to train the Deva, the Assassin, the Kensai, and even the Necromancer. 

look shops

 Shops in Keorc Koilos rival those of the other great cities.  To the
city's north lie the chambers of weaponmasters and armorers, while in the
southeast there is a general store and of course the chamber of Cyhk.  A
mycanoid mage has set up a magic shop on the west side near the fungi.    
   A healer among the fungi can be found and a dwarf has set up his
forge to help those with repairs of important equipment.

 Much of the book contains information on shops, on guildmasters, and the like.  There is also a chapter on mysteries and unsolved questions.  Finally, a small chapter on history that seems interesting.
