The journal sits by a number of ancient texts and scrolls written in old High D'Haran, which virtually no one knows now.  Most of the journal is also written in High D'Haran, but one passage is written in contemporary D'Haran:
 "Orden's power to recall himself from the underworld must be in the Box!  I worry, however, about Orden's protective magic.  If the Box's magic reacts poorly to my magic, who knows what will happen.  I fear the Box's magic could destroy everything near the box, or worse, call forth the angry demons Orden escaped from!"
