When lying on the ground, it is without a defined shape, and will fill whatever depressions it rests in.  It would seem rather difficult to hold it, or contain it without a bottle or some other type of receptacle to define it. Yet when fingers draw near, it shifts shape, and the surface becomes more rigid.  It glows with eagerness to be held and warm once more.
