The acacia branch does not seem to be a likely candidate for arrow-making. It is certainly straight enough, but it has several large thorns on it. Still, the elves of Corinthil knew the secret.  Carefully strip the thorns away, and peel off lines of bark to improve the aerodynamics.  The arrows were not the most powerful, but they sure excelled in acuracy!
