The fishing pole has been constructed from tule reeds, a common technique used by the Corinthil elves who once inhabited the jungle.  White fibers from the seeds of a capoc tree have been intertwined to make the cordage line.  A large, curving thorn has been tied to the end, as a hook.  It appears that the pole was abandoned in a hurry, for the line has not been retracted onto the reel.  Rising and ebbing water levels have left the pole caked in red mud, but it appears functional.
