The Mending Stone is a thing of great power, a simple rock that resembles in some ways hands held in prayer.  The stone itself is of a color and texture unlike the rest of the UnderDark, particularly this area dominated by black stone streaked with silver.  White and streaks of blue run the length of the Mending Stone, the steaks sometimes flaring to life and the hands sometimes appearing to move, to invite the visitor to enter and be made safe.  The air itself hums in response to the stone.
