The gourd-shaped nest has been assembled with carefully tied plant fibers. It seems the weaverbird is proficient in several weaving knots, including the sheep-shank, the square knot, and the half-hitch.  A blue ribbon has been carefully woven in and out of the plant fibers.  At the bottom of the nest is an entrance large enough for you to stick your hand in.
