The den of the anaconda is a hole in the ground that travels beneath the pile of bones.  It's nothing special, but it's a good place to rest, shed, and hide out from blood-sucking baboons.  The rib cage of an unfortunate elf has been wedged into the opening to create a gate-like door and keep intruders out.
