An ancient, time-worn stone stands near the edge of the courtyard, cracked at the base from some accident long ago.  This nudge unearthed a fertile spring of deep groundwater that had lain hidden so close to the surface for ages, and nourished an array of plant life.  When the spring was found on the site of Legion's new home, it was decided to build around it and the surrounding life, keeping it intact rather than building over it.  The spring trickles down into a fairly wide and deep pool, surrounded by several worn granite stones, worn smooth over the ages.
