Runes of the dwarf god have been inscribed in the handle and head of the great hammer.  Wielded by the forgers of things mystical and wondrous, the hephestean hammers are sturdy and powerful.  The head of the hammer is composed of an odd red metal, not like any iron or steel found in this realm. Picayune dints in the head show very little sign of wear, but the maker's date on the handle reveals it to be centuries old - quite a testamony it brings to the one who made it.  The wooden handle has been infused with a rod of steel. A grip of four fingers has been attached to the handle.
