Wide supple leather of just the correct diameter for your head is joined on the back by a seam of what appears to be bright red silk.  Attached to the side opposite the seam is a six-pointed, sapphire colored star with strange shapes on the top and bottom elongated spires.

The brilliant blue of the star appears to be lacquered enamel on a metal base.  Strange, thorn-like protuberances stick out at right angles from the top and bottom long spires of the star.
