Centered in the room in a circular depression dug within the ground is the source of the smoke in this room.  It's about three feet in diameter and full of ashes, smouldering embers and glowing charcoals.  It looks seriously hot in the center and occasionally a tongue of flame erupts from a coal and has to be watered back down to just smoking.
