A sinister torture device is here sitting unused.  Large chains at the top of the device present open shackles, and they wrap around to a device at the bottom, a sort of crank.  At the bottom end of the rack there is another set of shackles, for the legs.  You wonder how much pressure it would take to snap a goblin in half.
