This huge foam ear plug was made from a spongy resin secreted by rushes endemic to the banks of the Rio Rosa.  It used to be one of a pair, but its mate must have been misplaced.  The plugs were treasured by the sleepiest of a helicohydra's six heads, who grew tired of his 5 brothers constantly roaring and snarling when he was trying to get some shut-eye.  When worn, the ear plug instantly throws one into a restful stupor, which is not good for the coordination but greatly rejuvenates the body and mind.  The spongy plug seems huge, but it can compress to fit the ear canal of the smallest sprite.
