An old work handed down by family, the wood of this battered shield seems nearly to have petrified in its age.  Smooth as mink fur on the inside by years of oil and sweat, and battered like sharkskin outside, the shield has served well in its time.  An arm span wide, it is large enough to cover, yet small enough to allow movement.
