The final page of the diary reads: Aug 3: King Owen has kidnapped the Princess Frema from Vanadara and is threatening to execute her if the Vanadarans do not submit to his rule.  He instructed an elven thief to hide the key to her tower so no one would attempt to rescue her.  I fear that she will die of hunger or be killed by the King before the Vanadarans surrender. As much as I love my Grandfather, the King, I must do something to help the beautiful Princess.  I have offered the thief a million coins for the location of the key.  The thief said that he had left me a clue to the key's location somewhere close by, but I have yet to find it.  I will have a very long discussion with the thief when he returns tonight to speak with King Owen.
