The stove, humorously shaped like the bloated, beer-gut of a drunken dwarf, glows red hot.  The top of the stove has been created for cooking.  A small door in the belly of the stove allows coal to be placed into its gullet.  A chimney, which allows a bit of smoke to escape through some cracks, extends into the ceiling above.
