The cover of the book bares the crest of the dwarven mages.  The title, which is barely readable, is "The Book of Lore.  " The pages of the book are no longer turnable.  The open pages are all the information attainable from this book of knowledge.

The pages tell of a giant who slept beneath the earth.  The only one of his kind to ever master the arts of magic, he was cursed by the guild of mages to sleep forever.  The knowledge of the ages combined with his strength and ancestry, made him far too powerful and a great threat to the realm of the Phoenix.  His body was severed into several pieces, and his organs unattached, so that he could never wake.  Reattaching the giants organs and limbs, in combination with the right spell, could bring him back to life.  A voice from within the pages whispers, 'I am flesh.  '
