The blade is a darker black than anodized steel.  Its edges are obviously sharp and its tip is a seemingly perfect point that could pierce any natural material.  The grip is oddly designed.  Two straight metal bars stretch down from the end of the blade.  Those bars are then connected by smaller poles running perpendicular between them.  The entire setup appears to allow the dagger to be held in the palm of the hand, but supported by the full strength of the lower arm.  This arrangement would also allow one to release their grip on the weapon and still have it hang within easy reach to recover.
