The bookshelves, which reach all the way to the ceiling, are constructed of extremely sturdy and beautiful dark-wood.  The shelves once held a vast collection of tomes and leather-bound volumes; however, now they hold mostly ash and scars from some horrific, fiery tragedy.  Oddly the bookcases have only spots of damage and yet the mutilation of their contents seems much more extensive.
