The bow is made of a sturdy but pliable wood that has been hand crafted and shaped by the artisans of the city of Ixchal.  The wood has been carefully waxed and preserved to keep it from warping in wet weather.  There is a carefully crafted design on the bow which shows a large vine twining around the bow.
