A many faceted amber and rust-toned red jewel has been painstakingly chiseled to resemble a teardrop.  A small metal hinge on one side of the locket is the only visible sign that the jewel actually opens.  Placing pressure on the sides of the necklace allows it to open revealing a small cavity within to store personal keepsakes or other more devious items.  A fine silver linked chain has been threaded through a tiny hole at the top of the jewel.
