With a length of about 4 feet, this finely honed reaper will harvest a wheat field considerably quicker than many of the commonly used reaping tools. The sickle shaped blade is about two feet long and cast from tin.  The blade attaches to the long oaken pole by means of a fused hinge, a metal loop and several iron spikes.  A little over halfway up the handle, a second smaller handle is attached by the same means as the blade.  Holding both the staff and small handle while harvesting allows for a level and even cut.
