A large oblong crystal stone glows softly on top of the altar.

A rolling blaze of light pulsates deep within the large clear crystal set into the altar.  While bright, the light is still easy on the eyes, comforting even.  Carved within the facets are shallow circles in which lies, at cardinal points of the stone, a fleur-de-lis, a rose, a feather, and a tongue of fire.

The shallow circles look like they could support small stones in their grooves, if dropped carefully within.

Perfect forms lie in the bottom of the indents.  It's almost as if the real thing can be laid within, or at least, something carved perfectly to drop in.
