The king of the kobolds paces repeatedly in the same exact path.

Standing almost four and a half feet tall, the kobold king is larger than your average kobold.  Also incredibly muscular, the king of the kobolds generally is awarded the position by killing the previous leader. Historically most of the kobold leaders have gone insane with fear and panic soon after attaining their positions.  A very odd shimmer flickers at the king's feet.

An alien looking device can be seen in place of one of the floor tiles. It seems that this really is not the kobold king, but a clever decoy created by magic stolen from an ancient race.
