The tunic is very simple in design.  It is of a loose weave of undyed grey-brown wool and falls down below the knees.  It has a shallow neck and rather long sleeves that even on a tall man it would still cover the wrists. A thread shot with silver traces a design that at second glance, looks a little complex.  What seems to be simple curves and squiggles turn into complex runes as they are stared at.  The design seems to be hugging the hems around the neck, wrists and bottom of the tunic as if to protect its owner.
