This mithril blade glows with such ferocity that few details can be seen through the glare.  The hilt is of iron, with a hand guard that loops over the fingers like the handle of a tea cup.  Upon the hilt, a fine stylus has been used to delicately paint the dark blue image of a mighty paladin kneeling low before a serene mother and child.  The artistry is masterful.
