A sleeping beggar lies here blocking your path.

The beggar looks like the scum of humanity.  His tattered rags stained with refuse and filth clothing him at least half-way well, not, of course, that he is concerned with modesty.  The stench is another matter, lacking even the hygiene to bathe, despite the church's free offers of cleanliness and clothing.  He seems much more interested in the coins in your pouch than anything else.  Best to turn your head and try not to breathe too deeply while stepping over his pathetic body.
