A slug oozes along the floor.

A rough, translucent length of ooze and slime, the slug looks just as one would expect it to.  Nearly anyway.  All two feet of it.  Its abrasive mouth scours the wetness for nutrients, unmindful of the fact the wetness may currently be your boot and leg.
