The Grand Master of Flowers is an elderly man with slight wrinkles and bony limbs. His head is clean-shaven on the front two thirds. The back of his skull, however, has a circular patch of white hair that has been pulled back and tied into a thin pony tail. Fond of sitting in the full lotus position while meditating, he shows a tremendous flexibility that belies his age.
