A scrawny-looking nightingale twitters from within its cage.

The nightingale is a rather plain-looking and underfed bird with brownish feathers, tinged with ruddy orange.  Its beak is thin and down-turned. Apparently the bird saves all of its showiness for its voice, which trills with a melody most pleasing to the ear.
