Kla'syn is among the leaders of the drow sect.  He keeps an eye on the sect's money and spends some of it on spies who bring him news from throughout Keorc Koilos and the UnderDark.  However, he will not share such information with an outsider.  He also aids those wanting to leave the tower.  Simply say "leave" and he will make it happen.
