The Head Miner stands here, barking orders.

This guy is the master of the mines.  He directs the dwarves where to mine and how deep.  Also he keeps unruly dwarves in line.  He is carrying a whip on his side, and a black sword.  His biceps are huge, so he looks like he can keep his own in a fight.
