the old witch

A short fat old woman huddles over the warmth of the fire.

The witch doesn't look like she has had company for quite a while.  She mutters to herself as she goes about putting things together in the pot on the stove for her stew, or is it a spell?  Her apron is torn and tattered, and the dress it almost covers doesn't look in much better shape.  Her long black hair is lined with white, and wraps around her in a tight braid.
