A female chimpanzee pulls back her lips and gives you a fear grin.

This pygmy chimpanzee, or bonobo, is an adult female.  Seeing you, she lets out a screech of alarm.  "Eeee Eeee!" she calls, as she looks around for her little one, to draw the baby back into her arms.  The most human of all the primates, the faces of these bonobos radiate sentience.
