a sharp-snouted coati mundi

A coati mundi perches on a plantain bush, trying to open the soft fruit.

Coati mundis are related to the red pandas that also wander the Howler Jungle.  This one has a thick, wooly coat of brown fur, a long tail and a white tip on his sharply pointed nose.  He stands on top of the bunch of green plantain bananas and gnaws through them, one by one, eating peel and all.
