A tiny wild cat sits in the ferns, hoping you don't see him.

The margay is a wild cat no bigger than a house cat.  It has large, sienna eyes and the black-spotted golden fur of a leopard.  It is fond of small birds and their eggs, though it sometimes fantasizes about far larger prey.
