a poison arrow frog

A colorful poison arrow frog sits quietly in the jungle.

This giant frog is vivid blue with orange spots.  It has no need for camouflage because most predators instinctively know that its skin secretes a deadly mucus.  The poison is not in its mouth, so it is not terribly dangerous if you don't try to eat it.  The mucus is highly valued as a coating for assassins' blades.
