Vern sits busily stuffing his face with food.

Knife and fork in hand, Vern shovels as much food into his mouth as physically possible before bothering to chew, let alone swallow.  His white dress shirt, splattered with colored food stains, covers his enormous upper body.  Between hoarding bites, he makes feeble attempts to talk to the uninterested and slightly disgusted guests.
