a burly sailor

A burly sailor with a weather-beaten face and jagged teeth walks a little funny.

The tough-looking sailor has seen many a day at sea, as evidenced by the leathery look of his skin and the slight swagger when he walks.  He has come to port only briefly for supplies and such, but right now he just wants some whiskey and sleep.  Before long the sea will call him back though.
