The sergeant-at-arms issues commands to the gate patrol.

Wearing a crisply tailored and pressed uniform, the sergeant wears six golden stripes on each sleeve and shouts orders as if he was in charge.  His soldiers affirm his orders with a steely look but when he turns away they sneer at him and fondle the hilt of their swords.
