A soultree stands against the evil.

Similar to an oak, the soultree is the essence of the forest, one of the early trees that still survive.  Similar trees can be found on Caledon and other parts of the world.  This one remains in Kilheart Fen and is protected by a web of magic and assistance from plants that struggle against the shadow.
