a grey wolf

A grey wolf slinks between the forest trees.

This wolf stands about two and a half feet high and has a wonderful shaggy black and grey coat, good for shaking off the moisture of the misty valley. Through the ages, wolves have been shrouded in mystery and suspicion because they are viewed as tenacious killers.  That history is apparently not true with this wolf.
