a giant opalescent nudibranch

A giant slug eats its way through the sea grass.

This giant version of its tiny sea slug brothers is four feet long.  A long slender gray body comes to a head with two gray antennas and two red eyes suspended at the end of eyestalks.  The eyestalks allow the nudibranch to peer in all directions.  From its back, hundreds of small hair-like projections cover the creature.  At the tip of each hair, a red glow emanates, but only at the right angle.  The hair is parted by the slimy skin, which protrudes down the center of the back and comes to a point at the creature's tail.  Its entire belly is actually a giant gray sucker foot, capable, due to its slime layer, of inching along a razor blade unharmed.
