A vermicious k-nid lurks in a shadowy alcove, clawing at the chain which binds it.

The vermicious k-nid looks like some feral perversion of a drow.  The creature is only 4 feet tall.  Her hair would easily flow down to her waist if it wasn't sticking in all directions, as if caught up in a wind storm.  She hunches her back and peeks out at her surroundings over one shoulder in a way that suggests extreme paranoia.  Oddest of all, pieces of her backbone have been enlarged into knife-like blades that slice out of her skin and arch up from the middle of her back.  The tension she holds in her bent fingers reveal that she is destined for violence.
