A massive armored beast charges, hooked claws bared!

Of all the species one may run into in the UnderDark, few are as deadly a foe as a hook horror.  Standing nearly ten feet tall, encased in an impenetrable exoskeleton and sporting wickedly hooked claws they are a challenge even to the most skillful warrior.  The bird-like head possesses a cruel beak but no eyes.  The hook horror has the best hearing of any creature in the UnderDark and finds its way by echolocation.  These creatures are not known for mild temperaments and therefore running is usually the best option should one come upon a hook horror.
